About BrainScan Software

BrainScan Software is a family business owned and operated by Brian Fries, with the assistance and support of his wife, Katy Fries. In addition to ourselves, we have relationships with a variety of other creative professionals - photographers, graphic artists, programmers, etc. - that enable us to take on larger projects. We think of our business model as being similar to a movie production team that assembles the best available staff for a given project.

Based in Auburn, California, 30 miles Northeast of Sacramento, BrainScan Software works with clients and partners in many diverse locations.

Brian Fries
Brian earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from CSU Chico in 1985, and spent the following 11 years working as a programmer/analyst for Retail Marketing Services and System Integrators, Inc. In 1996, he left the corporate sector to pursue his own business venture as a consultant and independent software developer.

Along the way, Brian became an accomplished ceramic sculptor, potter, and photographer, and spent some time managing an art gallery. For samples of Brian's art work, see FriesArt.com.

Katy Fries
Katy is a teacher, artist, psychic, massage therapist, and creativity consultant. Following 6 years teaching in the public school system, Katy has been pursuing many avenues of personal and spiritual growth that has lead to massage training, yoga instructor training, art education, establishment of a respected children's art school, art gallery management, and clairvoyant education.

For BrainScan Software, Katy manages client communications, and assists with conceptual consulting and financial management.
